the black room
a private screening room

A private screening room designed for the offices of a leading European fragrance designer. Semi-transparent black tempered glass is used as a projection material, creating images on three walls, surrounding the viewer. When the system is on, the doors close, creating a shiny black box that floats slightly above the floor. Images can be seen on the walls even from the outside.

In the center of the room, custom modular seating allows visitors and guides to structure the space for different events. Speakers embedded in the structure create exact spatialization, and the entire system is controlled by a single wireless interface.
